The sunrise is nothing more than an illusion, the earth’s atmosphere bends the rays of light coming from the sun like a lens or a glass of water. We see the image of the sun above the horizon before the physical sun is there. In fact, saying horizon would be wrong since it does not exist because the earth is not flat.
